The ‘Bright Minds Bright Future’ appeal allowed the re-development of the Learning Resource Centre, thanks to our generous donors.

The building work and refurbishment have been completed, and it opened to students in January 2024.

The new Learning Resource Centre now provides all students with a wide range of equipment and materials to support them in their academic development in a quiet, fully staffed, space. The mezzanine area is a dedicated ‘reading for pleasure’ space to encourage all members of the school community to read.  A range of events within the LRC at lunchtime and after school will promote reading for pleasure as well as providing cultural enhancement events.

The LRC lower floor includes 38 computers and new carousel workstations.

The LRC mezzanine area has hundreds of new books, bookcases and comfy reading chairs.

The whole area has been modernised with new lighting, electrical wiring, the lower floor and ceiling were restored, and the mezzanine floor was updated, making it a brighter and more inviting space for students to study or read.
